Arbitrator Oath

An Arbitrator Oath is a formal pledge made by an arbitrator before they begin the arbitration process. This oath is designed to ensure that the arbitrator will conduct the proceedings fairly, impartially, and in accordance with the relevant laws and procedures.

Arbitrators, who are neutral third parties chosen to resolve disputes outside of the court system, take this oath to emphasize their commitment to uphold the integrity of the arbitration process. The oath typically includes promises to avoid conflicts of interest, to disclose any potential biases, and to act in the best interests of justice.

For example, an arbitrator may be required to sign an oath that states they will not disclose any confidential information obtained during the arbitration, nor will they favor one party over another. By taking the Arbitrator Oath, arbitrators reassure the disputing parties that they will act with the utmost fairness and objectivity, which is crucial for maintaining trust in the arbitration process.
